road trip

We went to visit mom and dad for a week and help out a little since mom had her knee replacement surgery. She looked great and was putting around with her walker when we got there; about 9 o'clock at night! Her therapist had good things to say about her progress and by the time we left she was walking without the walker. WHEW! Mom was "forced" to lay low and relax so we actually got to sit and visit. The cousins had a great time playing together and it was so fun to hear how much Gracie is talking! Sheila and Ryan were great to host us a rock band party. We were definitely the greenies of the group but I must admit it was a lot of fun.

Upon arriving home Meggie and Ava have been fighting tonsillitis. Meg has the worst of it with a double ear infection and panic every time she tries to swallow because her throat is so swollen. She has been sleeping 3 hours in the afternoon and a good 12 hour night; so I know how miserable she must be. We got home and hit the ground running. Back to school, back to music classes, and back to lots of snow!
